Advanced Edged Weapons

Come for a gathering of warriors as we train with Buyu-Sho Phil Legare & Dai-Shihans Andy Martin, Don Schmidt, and Shihan Bill Stegner.

Origins of Budo in both ancient and modern context. We will start by exploring use of the katana, a 3 foot razor sharp sword of the samurai. Then Daisho, use of both short and long sword. Once the principles of the sword have been reviewed and practices, we will move onto the modern short sword, the folding knife. We'll explore the connections between ancient strategy and modern application. Daishihan(s) Phil, Andy and Don and Shihan Bill, combining over a hundred and twenty years of training will provide their unique perspectives on the Bujinkan and Personal Protective measures. This will be a fun day of Budo and Shinken to end the year of training.

Friday: 6:00PM-9:00PM $55
Saturday: 12:00PM-6:00PM $125
Fri/Sat Combo: $160
Saturday: 7:30pm-10:30pm $20 Bonenkai Celebration Dinner

Training weapons will NOT be provided. You will need katana, daisho, tanto and modern knife. No live blades. Training weapons subject to inspection.
